Shell of a King

Criminally, criminally underrated. One of the best solo dev games on steam. What an incredible experience - it's dark souls style exploration and mechanics, but as a bullet hell top-down shooter. The boss fights and the music are incredibly well done. Yes, the camera management is a bit strange but it's not an issue once you get used to it. What an absolute banger. One of the best bullet hellers out there - it's so fair, very challenging, plenty of secrets to discover. Play this. 10-12 hours of content, worth every penny and more.

This is a great take on the souls like genre, and a hidden gem that should not be overlooked, particularly if you are into bullet hell games. The story while simple is really well put, and I enjoyed the side quests. The combat is satisfactory and all the charms/trinkets add plenty of variety and choices. Props to you for making this game as a solo developer, I'm looking forward to your next projects.

Binding of Isaac Souls-like, basically. Feels very solid, like it was constructed with a clear vision in mind. Fun and cute and occasionally difficult, though much less so than is traditional in the genre. Definitely worth a shot if you like bullet hells and RPGs
