REPETITIVE | SCHOOL ROMANCE | NOSTALGIA | MAINLY FOR TENIPURI FANS This game consists of 7 common routes (one for each school) and 38 endings (one for each love interest). It may be considered a huge game if you play it repeatedly to get all of the achievements and different endings. Each character also has 2 different dates (before getting their endings), so I would recommend balancing the love meter for 2 ~ 3 characters at most. That way, you won’t need to go through the whole common route again, and at the same time, you get to go on both dates with each love interest. BAD ENDINGS? No, not really. But it may be considered one if you don’t end up with any of them. I got it on my second playthrough, where I was trying to get Ryoma’s ending. What happened: During the date, I chose hamburger steak for lunch, and then I lost his heart points. What’s crazier: The amount of points that I lost was exactly the amount I needed to get his ending. Am I upset? No, I had a good laugh and enjoyed the game very much. GAMEPLAY You are helping out at the school festival, so after the events for the festival have been decided, everyone will scatter off to do their work. This is where you go and bug them to gain love points. As per usual gameplay, you will end up with the one you interacted with most. LOVE INTERESTS There are 38 love interests. MINI GAME Quite fun, my most favourite mini game is the bingo tennis ball & old maid . RECOMMENDED? Yes, especially now that it is still on an early purchase + 20% discount . I would definitely recommend getting it now. RATING CGs 10/10 ART SPRITE 9/10 PLOT 8/10 VOICE ACTING 10/10 VISUAL EFFECTS 10/10 UI 10/10 THINGS TO SLIGHTLY SUGGEST TO THE TEAM Maybe please release a feature where players can use the points to buy everything at once for a character instead of us clicking and buying one by one.

I've been waiting for this game to be translated for AGES! XD Yep, it's quite pricey but hey, it's finally not platform-locked (I'm coping lol) The only thing I will say is, I hope your favorite character is a more popular character 'cause the less popular characters have lesser dialogues and scenes (I love Shiraishi & Shishido but compared to major popular characters, their dialogues and CGs are lesser, and I'm sad T^T) BUT either way, I still love the series and the game! I've only played for 10 hours and finished Shiraishi's & Shishido's route and going onto Niou's route, I'm still sad that I didn't get to do much with Shishido though.. but regardless I had quite the fun

I've sunk in too many hours into this game while writing the Steam guides that I think I have a good enough grasp of the game to finally write a review. In short, this game remaster and localization really exceeded my expectations. Gameplay This otome is more of a stat management game than it is a traditional visual novel due to the sheer number of love interests in it. I don't think it's particularly hard for someone to go into this game completely blind and not use a guide to reach an ending. I think the more annoying aspect is trying to min/max this game and planning out which routes to prioritize per playthrough because of the jealousy procs for all of the characters. I'm quite impressed by the updated CGs and that they were able to keep the originals as well and it's just a simple toggle to see the old and new ones. Each route took FOREVER to play through. When I was min/maxing this game, it took me about 40 hours to get through all of the love interests (and that was also with me just straight up not reading carefully at times). Playing through the game a second time to write the Steam guides also took forever because the Skip Text function is just so slow even at the highest speeds. I think if you play this game properly and actually read carefully, you could easily take 60+ hours to complete all routes once. The gameplay is also just horribly repetitive and tedious at times, but that's just the nature of a stats management dating sim. I played through this game on my Steam Deck LCD model and my outdated gaming PC and I did notice a considerable frame rate and performance difference when playing the optional minigames on the Steam Deck (especially the rallying game). I don't think it should affect enjoyment of the game (especially when these minigames are optional), but I was annoyed by this. Another thing with the Steam Deck is the controls for the game are mapped for the Nintendo Switch/Switch 2 and you have to manually update the Steam Deck's controls in the Steam Deck settings for it to function correctly. Story I think it's helpful if you're already familiar with the characters from the manga/anime because they programmed each of the characters' responses based on their established personalities. It's not necessary since you can still get a decent grasp of the boys from the story, but I think the characters ring a little hollow in terms of the writing if you have no prior knowledge of them. One thing I hated was just how some characters were written because it felt like a complete 180 from how I know them from the manga/anime. Granted, this game is a remaster from the original released in the 2000s, so obviously, they couldn't change every line with all of the new information about the characters we have gotten since then. The MC has a rather standard personality for the game's setting and the age of the characters. She's not completely devoid of personality or written exceptionally poorly like other otome MCs. Translation + Localization I've been in the Prince of Tennis trenches for God knows how long at this point, so the amount of times I have been disappointed by bad localizations in general is often. Given the rise of AI translations everywhere, I wondered if this game was going to suffer the same fate, but it doesn't appear so. The series has a lot of characters all with unique personalities and there are just a lot of things that can't really be translated 1-to-1 at the end of the day. The fact that there was care put into the English translation and localization is truly impressive. Genuinely, I don't think any Prince of Tennis localization (outside of the anime's new dub) has been this good. For example, Amane's character makes a lot of puns in Japanese and they can't be translated as-is into other languages because the nuance of the wordplay gets lost that way.
