I like the customization and extra tasks that allow for more gameplay. I played Harvest Moon, the original, when it first came out and devoted many hours enjoying it. If you're a fan of the Harvest Moon franchise, this enhances the game while still keeping true to what we all love of our childhood favorite.

It's been a very long time since a game has made me feel the sense of wonderment and joy that this one has. As a kid I was REALLY into Friends of Mineral Town. A long while later, I put a ton of time into Stardew Valley. SoS Grand Bazaar has really recaptured that feeling of a game like those where you just don't want to stop playing it. The characters are cute and have a surprising amount of dialogue. Every character has something to say on the day before an event, the day of the event, if you lose, if you win, it makes the town feel lively and I haven't gotten bored of running around and talking to people. I'm exclusively playing this game on the Steam Deck and it's been perfect. No complaints at all on performance or controls or anything. This is the first game where I've played sessions for so long that the Deck battery hits red and I'm forced to stop playing to recharge, lmao I have never played the original Grand Bazaar, so I can't speak on what's better or worse about it, but I truly have no complaints.
