Shine Within

Игра 'Shine Within' – это трогательная история о взрослении и самопознании. Визуальный стиль напоминает акварельные рисунки, что создает уютную и мечтательную атмосферу. Музыкальное сопровождение идеально дополняет происходящее на экране, подчеркивая эмоциональные моменты. Игровой процесс прост, но увлекателен. Решения, которые принимает игрок, действительно влияют на развитие сюжета и формирование характера главной героини. Приходится принимать непростые решения, и каждое из них ощущается значимым. Больше всего в игре зацепила искренность и глубина повествования. Shine Within заставляет задуматься о собственных ценностях и о том, что действительно важно в жизни. Это не просто игра, а интерактивный опыт, оставляющий приятное послевкусие. Рекомендую всем, кто ищет что-то душевное и запоминающееся.

"Shine Within" is a somewhat poorly made 2D top down retro pixel "adventure" game with a trite and off-putting story involving a hero saving a world corrupted by monsters. The gameplay involves collecting items and solving puzzles in a 2D, cartoony setting, with some minigames and optional interactions with monsters. The puzzles aren't great, the story is worse (and feels like Google Translate was having a bad day) and the graphics are atrocious. This features really godawful pixelcrap "art" instead of real graphics. It's hard to say if this was because the developer didn't have the skill to do the job of creating 3D visuals, or couldn't afford to hire someone who does, but it also doesn't matter. What matters is that this looks much worse than most other games because of that decision, and that's a major deterrent to gamers. Games like Terraria and Stardew Valley succeeded despite the bad graphics, not because of them. This is only free in a rudimentary sense... the developer has their hand out for a $4 USD "donation" for this as you're expected to buy soundtrack DLC from Steam to "support" the "developer"... digital panhandling. Like the homeless guys who splash dirty water on your windscreen at the traffic lights. No thanks. Despite having no up-front cost, this failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at just a dozen or so concurrent players, and now there's basically nobody playing it. Even though it's free. This is a dismal public reception, but it's easy to see why gamers rejected it. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Not this time. This isn't worth downloading. While this won't cost you any money, you get what you pay for, and sometimes, even when the game is free, it's still not enough.
