Disgaea Mayhem

It's not as broad as Samurai Warriors or as deep as Disgaea, but they go together in a fun way & you get a good shot of what makes them both so satisfying. Full price is maybe a bit steep but definitely consider it on sale.

This is a definite step-up from the usual tactical RPG I grew up with. While there was still some bugs to deal with in the beginning (especially the 1st stages and the unfortunate Dragon God's Kick crash bug), it was a fun to play. As for the grinding part, the item world is a huge improvement as it doesn't rely on you to sluggishly go through floor after floor. If anything, the wave mechanic for the item world should be the new item world gimmick for future Disgaea games. The story itself is simple, but true to Disgaea, it got some unique charm and occasional wacky dialogue. If we could improve on the controls, AI and the general bug catching part of the game, that would be nice. Overall, a fun game to pick up and play. But seriously, FIX THE DRAGON GOD'S KICK FOR STEAM! IT CRASHES THE GAME! D:<

I have attempted to play this game. I love Disgaea, but if the game keeps crashing after I play for 5-30 min it will not be getting my recommendation. The game play is a little to easy from what I saw, but I'm barely past the tutorial. I contacted support and I will update this depending on what they say.
