SGS Overlord

A good game. The graphics and card play are excellent. It is pretty easy to learn and play. The game is not buggy and worked without any issues. However, the AI is weak (should not be able to win your first game while still learning how to play). Also, for my taste, I think there are better games on the topic. The operational level is very good and fun to play. But the tactical level is pretty dull. Other games that try something similar ('Gateway to Caen' and 'Longest Day') have much better tactical level.

You generally know what your going to get with an SGS / Avalon game. This is one of the better ones though. Focused, familiar, it's a great game.

It feels more like a beer and pretzels boardgame conversion, like memoir 44 than a serious wargame. I'm sure it's fun if your into that, but it's not for me. I'm more into Panzer campaigns by WDS or combat mission. I bought this based on review and the fact it was on discount. I got a refund.
