    Ya'know there aren't many games where you can pick and play as vilest dictators, right? Atatürk is NOT a controversial figure in world politics or in global perception. And with all due respect, WTF is a controversial leader anyway in the context of a historical WWII sim? What's the difference of an in game likeness of a historical figure vs a real pic, why would that matter? Teach your community moderators to moderate, not play god. Every god creates their own heretics.

    The recent behavior of the official Hearts of Iron IV community moderation team is completely unacceptable. Banning users simply for having a profile picture of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk-the internationally recognized founder of modern Turkey-and making absurd, historically inaccurate accusations against him is a blatant display of bias and disrespect towards the Turkish player base. For a historical grand strategy game, allowing ignorant and biased moderators to represent Paradox Interactive is a disgrace. Until the development team addresses this incident, takes responsibility, and educates or replaces their moderation team, I will not recommend this game.

    A game company that calls Turkey's founder, a man of virtue, a genocider and bans the use of his portrait, saying it is against community rules, doesn't deserve our money, our commitment to their games, or our love. As someone who used to be a big fan of Paradox grand strategy games, I will no longer support, buy, or play their games unless they back down, apologize for their misconduct, and fire the people who disrespected him.

    It’s so unprofessionally hypocritical of Paradox Interactive to first cater to a certain demographic (Turkish player base) in the past by launching a DLC tailored for them (Battle for the Bosphorus DLC), and then enable both their community managers in an officially curated community server (HOI4 Discord) and their own developers on Steam to launch a targeted racist campaign against said demographic through one of their most revered national personalities (Atatürk). Paradox has shown they’re incapable of conducting themselves professionally and thus cannot ask me to buy and consume their products with my own money anymore. Whatever apology they’ll be coming up with won’t change this fact or my opinion of them, as they can and will target me as a consumer in the future with a similar smear campaign.
