ROMANCE OF THE THREE KINGDOMS 8 REMAKE

The best ROTK game to play. It has a great balance of officer and ruler mechanics and the turn based combat is like Fire Emblem. The easiest ROTK game to get into.

I really enjoyed it up until the part where the battles started to get bigger and more interesting where I discovered the game is literally broken... Let me explain. A big part of the game is reinforcements, you get them and the enemy gets them - unfortunately the idiots who made this game never gave them any intelligence beyond "approach nearest thing and attack it" so in every single battle half of your attacking forces will be off attacking random watch towers rather than going for the objective or the enemy. This means you're basically left with your controlled forces fighting the entire enemy force. The only work around is to use the transport mechanic to merge all your expected reinforcements into your own army so you can control everyone, but that leaves cities undefended, requires officers who can command large amounts of units and is a pain in the ass...

It's a good RTK game. Siege battles could use some improvement though, there's no need to attack the city since enemy generals can't hide in it. Tactics are not as deep as rtk 11, but servicable.
