Rebirth! New Lover

Such a great example of a FMV genre! (especially for newcmers). Very cute actresses and fun story with dramatic moments (some of them are a bit overplayed though)!!

Well... First of All it´s a historical FMV title mainly focused on Dating Elements. So don´t even expect an epic war, changing history or anything like that. Also before even get further: This game is completely silly. Chinese over the top acted slapstic. Jackie Chan Films are serious Action Thrillers compared to this FMV Game. Keep that in mind to be prepared for what you got into. But the historical sets and costumes are beautiful though, so are the female protagonists. We have the familiar setting we got sent back in time but here we have no idea why and when. But we have to keep a rundown family restaurant in shape and stand our man against a bully who wants to make our life hell. In between chapters we are allowed to bring modern items we get in a lottery into each new chapter. Which adds additonal sillyness. There are around 6 hours of video footage and i think you will need around watch four hours for a playthrough. And two more for different choices and outcomes. Subtitles are translated good it´s easy to follow the small plot but sometimes some are left untranslated. But still.. the plot is not the hardest so you get along. So alltogether: If you come for the girls and the comedy you can grab it. If you hoped for a story that keeps in your mind for a very long time... look elsewhere. The regular price is 9 bucks which is ... i think the maximum of justification. But i´d still recommend a sale though.

Be forewarned it is very silly; it's on par with a comedic anime. Sadly, the english dialogue translations occasionally fall off starting in chapter 3.
