Rat Overflow

if you love genetics i would download play this game. i found myself getting attached to my rats especially my higher scorers and get sad when they get sick. if youve ever played horse reality this is like that but much funner and faster pace

I purchased this game while it was on sale and missed the fact that this game was made with the use of AI. While the art work is cute, i love the idea of a rattery game where you can breed and raise a bunch of rats and do things with them. I can see where the AI infiltrates and it's disappointing :// It has been a mini hyperfixation but like other reviewers said, - there is no way to pause and look over your rats and have to have the game active and "playing" in order to do anything. I'm someone who likes to look at every page and part of a game, family trees, genetics, etc. and take my time doing so to make a plan of what to do next. While you can put the game time on "epic" time still passes which can lead to rats aging, dying, doing x thing (even if it happens slowly). The only thing you can view while paused is the wiki. So if you wanted to organize your rats or figure out their stats and who is bested matched while who time still passes. - when using the "breeding" tab to breed rats it is frustratingly hard to see the 'male rats', 'female rats' and 'pedigree' sections of that page. I have to use larger text and instead of making it understandable it is like your writing in a document with size 70 font so everything stacks over each other. The only way i could see it working is to get a wider screen..and thats not happening - i wish there was a "end day" option instead of just flipping through days consecutively like a flip book going slow/medium/fast/extra fast. Or even a "end your week" type thing that talks about what went on that week as a recap. - lastly, the writing and game play loops. Game play loop is decent but slow to build up. Now knowing this was also made using AI leaves a bad taste in my mouth..while i enjoyed the concept of the game , i can not support the use of AI to write your game or to be used in that manner This could've been a really cool rat game, it has cute art and i enjoy looking at the rats but, that is all at this time.

The Rattery game of my dreams! This game filled the VirtuRatz-shaped hole in my heart. It has accurate genetics & inheritance, adorable pixel art, and satisfying game loop of upbreeding my rats to higher show quality. I love the level of customization that the settings allow. There are a few things that would be nice to have added such as: - Agility Shows (+ stat breeding) - A memorial section for my favorite rats that have passed - Treats & Enrichment* (optional, leans more into pet sim territory)
