Prince of Persia: Warrior Within™

Как же эта игра ПРЕКРАСНА. Решил перепройти снова спустя долгое время... Игра все еще интересная. Затягивает. Одна из лучших игр даже спустя столько времени. Прошел игру довольно быстро, даже не заметил как время пролетело. Концовка спасения Кайлины, наверное лучшее на что я тратил время.. столько бегать и искать все пьедесталы здоровья было не легко, но оно того стоило.

Одна из НАИЛУШИХ игр в которые я играл! Игра очень интересная, особенно если проходить части в хронологическом порядке и на каноничные концовки (конкретно в этой игре 2 концовки 1 из которых каноничная). Здесь придется попотеть, но когда проходишь понимаешь что не зря! Каждый хоть раз должен её пройти! ОДНОЗНАЧНО РЕКОМЕНДУ!

I can’t deny that the game has plenty of positive qualities, but its many smaller flaws add up and significantly detract from the overall experience. First, both the graphics and the technical state of the game have aged terribly. Shaders and sound effects frequently disappear, and the game crashes far too often. Even putting the technical issues aside, the visuals are hard to look at today, and the overall presentation feels dated. Secondly, the plot falls apart when you stop to think about what it actually says about the Prince. His goal throughout most of the game is deeply selfish - he wants to save his own life at ANNY COST. He doesn’t set out to save Kaileena, the only other person on the Island of Time, out of any sense of compassion or responsibility. Instead, he sees her as a sacrifice he is willing to make in exchange for his own survival. Even obtaining the Water Sword and killing the Dahaka does little to improve the Prince’s character arc. Kaileena’s survival is ultimately a consequence of how events unfold rather than the result of any meaningful change in his motivations. He gets what he wants, but he never really has to confront the selfishness that drove him in the first place. And this is what makes Warrior Within so disappointing when compared to Sands of Time. The first game tells a complete story about growing up, learning to value human life, and understanding the importance of honor. The Prince makes mistakes, faces the consequences of his actions, and ultimately becomes a better person. The second game, by contrast, tells a story about a man who refuses to accept his fate and eventually manages to change it. There is nothing inherently wrong with that premise, but it feels like a step backward for a character whose previous adventure was all about becoming more than the selfish, immature person he was at the beginning. In the end, the Prince overcomes his fate, but I’m not convinced he overcomes himself. Thirdly, while the game builds on some genuinely interesting Metroidvania mechanics, its core combat and parkour systems leave a lot to be desired. The difficulty curve is all over the place, for roughly half the game, you feel underpowered, only to become an absolute killing machine in the second half. Parkour has gained a couple of cool new features, but awkward camera angles, a poor field of view, and clunky controls undermine the experience. Spatial puzzles often feel less like a test of skill and more like a struggle against the camera itself. This is a game from my childhood, but it has aged rather poorly compared to Sands of Time. Warrior Within is inseparable from the third game in the trilogy, as their stories are directly connected, yet both feel rather mediocre in retrospect. Instead of one short, self-contained adventure that you could finish in an evening, like Sands of Time, we got two bloated, underwhelming games that ultimately weaken the trilogy as a whole.
