Ozymandias: Bronze Age Empire Sim

This is a great quick 4x- style game that finishes in like an hour instead of the hours to days typical of the genre. The development and expansion works differently for different empires and locations, once you he combat is not quick or catastrophic so you have time for back and forth, and working towards the win conditions let you win or lose when you're in a fairly solid spot instead of spending hours getting to the victory in a clearly won game.

Tight strategy - board game style. Too bad multiplayer doesn't have enough players to really be fully functional, maybe if more people buy the game.

Disclaimer: If you want to play this game, i HIGHLY suggest having a friend to play with. This game feels very much like a more advanced board game, the actual functions and resources that you manage are simple, but the strategy can prove quite complex and involved. Pros: - Aestetically pleasing design, good soundtrack and effects, good visual clarity on whats happening. - Not really any factions/civs/races, each player has some descriptor (Industrious, Expansionist, Militant etc.) but they are all 2 posive effects and 2 negatives, not really too game altering or breaking. Therefore you dont have to have a high level of experience in the game to remember what every player can do and how they can be countered etc. - Decent balancing on what tiles do and give you, maybe a little more specifics would be good - Quicker games compared to other 4X games, so easier to get in and out off Cons: - Not too many maps, more maps are DLC - AI dosent always function well (sometimes they just stubbornly target you, sometimes they just spawn 1 army and are stuck in one place the entire game, sometimes it feels like the AI is cheating) - Opportunities can be game changing, but they are far too random to be truly usefull, since you simply cant plan for them and some are also just incredibly un-achievable - Wincons are the same but scaled randomly through the game, some are ALOT easier to get even at high levels compared to others - Not so fun in single player Overall id say if you have at least 1 friend who is interested in trying it out, its worth the money and your time.
