This game was so fun to play as a physics fan. The sentances at the beginning of each level added depth to the whole experience. I really hope the game will get more updates

Don't be fooled: the many positive evaluations are biaised, they don't evaluate the game but how physics enthusiasts feel for the game. Unfortunately, that gives a false idea about what the game is. 1. this is not about leanring physics, it's a physics exam. If you don't already know physics, you won't pass the tutorial, 2. solving these puzzles is about trial and error and guessing (and...actually, that's precisely pretty much like how real life public school logic works, so, goal? lol), 3. many solutions are theoretical only, and makes no sense in a practical settings, the game intself being a practical setting, it's pretty confusing, misleading. For example: the first puzzle of the game is in the third room (the first two rooms are useless to explain things). There, you have to apply a velocity to a cube so that the fast movement of a conveyonr belt underneath it slowly makes it slide and fall exactly on the right place. Except that: - the cube is not already moving, and there is nothing that can logically apply that velocity when we validate our input, - the cub stands on a platform that doesn't seem slipery and is not said to be slipery, so you can't tell that the cube can slide on it, and even if it did, it wouln't slide at that speed at all, - if the cube falls, realistically, depending on the timing an its possition, there are man many chances that it would touch the other blocks passing, which means game over. But the game makes it always fall at the right time and position 4. the text of the interfaces where you must type won't help you to understand what the game expect you to do (won't give you even a third of the information you need to "guess" the answer (because you have to guess). Sometime, they makes absolutely no sense in the context of the puzzle. For example, that of the first puzzle: "Imput the initial horizontal velocity to give the Physics Cube. Positive Values are to the right?" ??? 5. Nothing fun Just in case you were attracted because of that, despite of the graphics: this is only about puzzles that you solve by typing numbers. this is nothing like Portal or The Turing Test: There is no story. It's not like Glitchspace either: you don't get to be the flying cube, to use physics to move around the room, you're just a spectator. = This is not physics based, the evironment is not the context of the game, it's only a decor for the exam. This is not a game, it's a dry physic learning software in vr. I put recommendations in a comment if you are looking for physics based games made to be fun. I think they won't hurt thigs game: since this game was not made to be fun but is just a physics exam, they won't compete with it: https://store.steampowered.com/app/290060/Glitchspace https://store.steampowered.com/app/499520/The_Turing_Test https://store.steampowered.com/app/400/Portal https://store.steampowered.com/app/620/Portal_2 https://store.steampowered.com/app/317400/Portal_Stories_Mel https://store.steampowered.com/app/446750/Portal_Stories_VR https://store.steampowered.com/app/2919990/An_Unfinished_Game

Newton's Fourth Law is an ambitious and thoughtfully designed game that sets out to do something few titles genuinely attempt: teach real physics concepts through meaningful interaction rather than abstraction or trivia. Developed and published by Newtonian Studios, the game positions itself at the intersection of puzzle adventure and educational software, but it leans much closer to a full-fledged game than a digital textbook. From the outset, it makes clear that understanding physical laws is not optional background flavor but the primary tool players must use to progress. The setting is a mysterious, high-tech research facility where players are guided through a series of increasingly complex challenges tied directly to classical mechanics. Rather than presenting physics as a list of formulas to memorize, the game embeds these concepts into environmental puzzles that require genuine comprehension. Forces, momentum, energy conservation, projectile motion, and circular motion are not just referenced but actively applied. Each problem asks players to observe a situation, interpret what physical principles are at play, and calculate or reason their way to a solution. This approach transforms learning into a process of discovery, making success feel earned rather than arbitrary. Narrative plays a surprisingly important role in maintaining engagement. As players move deeper into the facility, they uncover fragments of a larger story involving distant galaxies, experimental ambition, and the intertwined fates of characters whose lives are shaped by the same laws the player is learning to manipulate. The story is understated and unfolds gradually through environmental details, dialogue, and contextual clues, serving as motivation rather than distraction. It gives emotional weight to the puzzles and reinforces the idea that physics is not just an academic subject but a fundamental force shaping existence itself. Gameplay is presented from a first-person perspective, emphasizing immersion and spatial reasoning. Players interact directly with machinery, levers, projectiles, and measurement tools, often using an in-game calculator and reference systems to perform real calculations. This is one of the game’s boldest design choices. Instead of simplifying mechanics to the point of abstraction, Newton’s Fourth Law expects players to engage with numbers, equations, and logic much like they would in a classroom—only here, the payoff is progress and narrative advancement rather than a test score. For players with a background in physics, this can feel deeply satisfying, while newcomers may find the learning curve steep but fair. The difficulty curve is deliberate and uncompromising. Early puzzles introduce core ideas in controlled scenarios, but later challenges combine multiple concepts and demand careful thought. Guesswork rarely works, and trial-and-error is less effective than proper understanding. This makes the game mentally demanding, and at times even exhausting, but also uniquely rewarding. Solving a complex puzzle often brings the same sense of accomplishment as finally grasping a difficult concept in real life. The inclusion of hint systems helps prevent total stagnation, though the game clearly prioritizes learning over hand-holding. Visually, the game adopts a clean, futuristic aesthetic that complements its intellectual focus. The facility environments are functional rather than ornate, reinforcing the scientific tone without becoming sterile. Lighting, sound design, and subtle environmental motion help maintain atmosphere, ensuring that long stretches of problem-solving never feel lifeless. Audio cues and ambient sounds provide feedback and immersion without distracting from concentration, striking a careful balance between mood and clarity. As an Early Access title, Newton’s Fourth Law is still evolving, and its current scope focuses primarily on mechanics-based physics. While the available content is substantial, th…
