I have 30+ years of gaming expirience and 500+ games in library on steam. And i can tell you that this is one of the best tactics/casual city builders/catch them all games i have ever played. Even without THE PATCH it is very good.

I was initially going to give this game a 10/10. The combat, team-building, monster synergies, and build variety are genuinely excellent, and I can already see myself coming back to try different team comps. However, I have to lower my rating to 8/10 because of the heavy censorship issues and how some rewards are handled. Certain Insight rewards appear to be hidden, renamed, or not practically usable depending on the version, which makes progression feel confusing and sometimes unrewarding. It’s frustrating to invest a lot of time into unlocks only to realize that some of the rewards are blocked, unclear, or tied to content categories that don’t function well in the version I’m playing. The requirements to fully complete the game also feel unnecessarily obscure and grindy. I enjoyed figuring out builds and shrine mechanics, but the amount of hidden information and awkward completion requirements made the endgame feel more frustrating than satisfying. I still think the game is very good, and I’ll definitely return to try new builds and team synergies. But I won’t feel motivated to fully complete the ending again. I like strawberry island!
