Dramatic Road : the origin of wind

Solid fire emblem style game I enjoy the genre getting ported to a more modern setting and the extra mechanics like the shift option that lets you give your slower units a turn immediately or a clutch heal. Story is pretty classic and they state a sequel and with my unanswered questions I will be picking that one up to when it comes out.

This game is AWESOME. The dramatic ambition of years changing and club captains changing and the hopes of the clubs and the challenges that the new club captains face is incredible. It's way more ambitious of a plot than just some guys off to save the galaxy from some evil. The initiative system letting you jump a party member to become the current active one is a fun twist. Starting you off with 6 guys that have Fire Emblem's Canto is great. The school setting of warring clubs and gangs with no super powers is great. The game feels like it cares about what it is, even if it doesn't have all the sparkle of higher budget games.

The Japanese high school setting really sets this game apart from similar titles. Thankfully, the gameplay is pretty fun too. There is a huge roster of characters to include in your team, and each has a different stat growth, active skills, and passive skills. They can be further customized by changing their equipment. I'm 15 battles in, and so far the game isn't too hard. Don't be afraid to increase the difficulty even if you're just starting,
