1) 3к рубасов за это - смешно. (не помню за сколько покупал, но намного дешевле) 2) Игра устарела. 3) Не поддерживается ваш язык
Close Combat: Wacht am Rhein is a demanding World War II tactical wargame built for players who enjoy deliberate planning, historically grounded scenarios, and battles where individual soldiers matter. Developed by Strategy 3 Tactics and published by Matrix Games, it focuses on the Battle of the Bulge and gives players command of German or Allied forces during one of the most important campaigns on the Western Front. Instead of chasing cinematic spectacle, it emphasizes battlefield decision-making, unit preservation, morale, terrain, and operational consequences. Battles unfold in real time from a top-down perspective, with players issuing orders to infantry squads, armored vehicles, support weapons, and other combat units. Positioning is crucial because terrain directly affects survivability and effectiveness. Forests can conceal movement, buildings provide valuable defensive positions, roads improve mobility while potentially exposing units, and open fields can become deadly when covered by machine guns or anti-tank weapons. Successful attacks usually require reconnaissance, suppression, maneuvering, and coordination rather than simply pushing every available unit toward an objective. The simulation of individual soldiers gives combat much of its personality. Troops have more going on beneath the surface than basic health values. Combat stress, morale, experience, fatigue, leadership, and casualties can influence their battlefield performance. Soldiers under overwhelming pressure may become pinned or otherwise lose their effectiveness, forcing the commander to adapt. This makes preserving veteran units worthwhile and creates battles where psychological pressure can become almost as important as ammunition and firepower. Beyond individual engagements, the campaign layer connects tactical victories and defeats to a larger operational struggle. Players move battlegroups across the strategic map, protect supply routes, capture important locations, and decide where their limited strength should be concentrated. The German campaign naturally emphasizes maintaining momentum during the offensive, while the Allied side frequently revolves around containing advances, protecting strategic positions, and preparing counterattacks. These contrasting objectives make playing both sides worthwhile rather than simply offering mirrored versions of the same campaign. There is a substantial amount of content for dedicated players. The Grand Campaign connects numerous tactical maps across the wider Ardennes operation, while dozens of individual battles, operations, and campaigns provide alternatives for players who do not always want to commit to the complete strategic experience. The hand-drawn battlefield maps are especially important because their terrain layouts directly influence tactics. Learning where to establish firing positions, where armor can safely advance, and which routes provide opportunities for flanking becomes an important part of mastering the game. Scenario creation and modding also contribute significantly to longevity. Players interested in experimentation can create engagements and adjust numerous campaign variables, making the game useful for hypothetical battles as well as historical scenarios. Weather, supply conditions, support options, strategic movement, scoring, and other parameters provide considerable flexibility. This depth makes the package particularly attractive to enthusiasts who enjoy tinkering with historical simulations rather than simply completing a campaign once. The largest obstacle is its age. Visually, Wacht am Rhein looks noticeably dated, with modest animations, old-fashioned interface elements, and battlefield effects that cannot compete with contemporary strategy games. Unit management can occasionally feel awkward, while vehicle movement and pathfinding may require additional attention. Newcomers can also face a considerable learning curve because the game expects patience and an unders…
I used to like these games because I played them as a child, then I started to have mixed feelings and the more I played I started to realize that it is a really bad game. Aalmost as enjoyable as removing the skin from your backside with a cheese grater. The older titles are better, even though they are also not that good and time has moved on. The AI is so bad that they gave it some frustating advantage and now you can't target them but they can target you, and by targeting I mean every enemy unit that has LOS on your unit will lock on to it, instantly fire with all weapons from every direction often annihilating it immediately or if the unit doesn't get wiped out immediately then they will just become suppressed -> pinned -> panicked and annihilated. Only way to deal with the enemy is to shoot at the muzzle flashes with tanks and hope you get the enemy unit killed by targeting and shooting at different points of the building/trench/forest/whatever where the enemy is hiding and shooting you from. However enemy AT guns, even the light ones, can frontally pen your best tanks and they can't be located even after they fire at your tanks and even destroy them, so good luck! It is a really slow grindfest because movement in this game is made almost impossible by the enemy mortar teams sniping everything that moves and lobbing a grenade always in the middle of your team, killing most of them, switching targets in a nanosecond and sniping another one of your teams like this again. Also if the enemy units spot your team even for a nanosecond they will fire instantly, killing the men running or making them crawl in panic, so only way to advance in this game is to employ big smoke screens and make the teams crawl their way to the victory locations. Fun, yay! Enemy elite units will wipe out even the most seasoned units you have easily and you can't fire back and kill any of them because of the issue in this game of locating enemies. By the time you get your tank to fire at the building that shows muzzle flashes, half of your units are dead without having fired a single shot back at the enemy they can't target. Also the enemy elite units take a ton of damage before they get killed while your men drop like flies. Even direct hits with a assault guns don't often kill or even suppress them and they just keep on firing at your men, killing them. Luckily the AI is so bad they will often run in the streets and if you have machine guns(which you should, pretty much the only useful teams against the enemy) you can defeat them this way. Artillery support is ridiculously OP and if you end up in a map where you are attacking, you just have a tiny box where to deploy all of your units. The AI will target there and no matter how well your units are concealed or covered, they will get absolutely destroyed. Only way to win the enemy is to wipe them out completely or have the "force morale" setting on which makes you win if the enemy morale gets too low. But since they messed up the unit morale system in this game unlike in for an example Close Combat 3 where units often surrendered if the men in the unit lost their nerve, the units in this game rarely surrender, even if their situation is completely hopeless, so the only way to get the enemy morale down is to kill most of their units. Many ofther things thar are outright s**t, please don't buy this game you will save your nerves. Maybe try the Gates of Hell series if you want some WW2 tactical stuff, I heard it's good and prob costs less than this steaming pile of s**t!
