Claire

As a sequel to Ethel, it does what it is supposed to do. It is bigger, more polished, the horror is better, and it has more to do. The story was pretty interesting, and I'm excited to see what the next installment has in store. The first game took about 90 minutes to get both endings. For Claire, it took 3 hours to get one. I did have a few issues with the game. The performance could use some optimization. I was getting occasional frame drops down to 30 frames or less. My PC might not be top of the line, but it's no slouch either. Also, the first time you are hunted, you have very little time to react and figure out what to do. I like the idea of these sections, but the 3D sound wasn't as accurate as I would have hoped, even with a headset. In the end, these are fairly minor issues, but I thought that they should be mentioned.

Awesome game. The story is compelling and well thought out. I would recommend playing Ethel first as this is a continuing story. If you enjoy this genre, then play this series. They are the best.

This game is beautiful. I love the lore, the characters and the graphics are beautiful. I did prefer the full on scares in the first one over the chase sequences in this one but I have never loved a chase sequence. That's just a preference. I can't fault the game though. It is brilliant.
