BULT: Hunting simulator

Best bird hunting game since Bird Hunter 2003! I have been hunting like this IRL since 1980, and this game is pretty close to the real thing.

This is the only true waterfowl simulator on Steam with beautiful landscapes, addictive gameplay and rewarding hunts. If you want a game that respects the patience, environment, and realism of a true northern hunt, this is an absolute gem. The developers perfectly captured the raw, atmospheric beauty of the Siberian taiga. The misty wetlands, the layout of the lakeshores, and the crunch of the terrain look and sound exactly right. As someone who grew up in the Western Siberian countryside, the environment immediately brought me back to my childhood, traversing marshes and woods and duck hunting with my dad. It feels authentic because it IS authentic. The gunplay feels spot on for anyone familiar with domestic firearms. It is incredibly satisfying to cycle through iconic real-life Russian shotguns even if they have to use legally safe, fake names.

The in game currency that soft locks everything behind a miserable paywall should be removed. It would transform this game from an infuriating grind to an actual enjoyable hunting sim. What's the point of developing flocking and feeding waterfowl AI when the gameplay loop for the first twenty hours is quitting to main menu to pull the hunting time slot machine and walking the same loop of the same bodies of water over and over, using a single shot 1/4 choke gun loaded with number 3 shot to try and take ducks, a torturous slog that utterly poisons what is otherwise a remarkable achievement and a love letter to a unique hunting culture that does ducks and shotguns with greater fidelity than is managed by much larger studios. Until the onboarding process is improved, I simply cannot recommend anybody spend their money on game that disrespects the leisure time of it's customers. I will probably keep at it against my better judgement.
