I'm giving the game a thumbs up because it has a good premise and the first level was fun, but something is wrong with the controls. With an Xinput controller, the right stick moves the cursor forward and back and the LT/RT move left and right, though the legend says they should raise and lower land. But then on mouse and keyboard, lowering land is supposed to be shift + LMB, but it turns out that's only for the LEFT shift key. So if you're left-handed, get ready to move the keyboard a foot to the right. In short, there's currently no way to get a decent control scheme. TL;DR: Neat game but needs QOL refinement unless you're a right-handed player who likes mouse-and-keyboard. (Which is probably most people reading this, I guess.)

WET is a puzzle game developed and published by SUPER HYPER MEGA that transforms a simple environmental concept into a thoughtful and surprisingly relaxing experience. Built around terrain manipulation and water physics, the game avoids traditional puzzle formulas in favor of something quieter and more methodical. Rather than challenging players with fast reaction times or overwhelming complexity, WET focuses on observation, experimentation, and gradual mastery through environmental interaction. The central gameplay loop revolves around controlling landscapes to direct water toward designated objectives. Players shape terrain by raising and lowering the environment, influencing how water behaves as it moves across each stage. At first glance, the mechanics appear straightforward, but the challenge gradually expands as puzzles become increasingly layered and require more careful planning. Small adjustments can dramatically change outcomes, turning every level into an exercise in patience and creative thinking. One of the strongest aspects of WET is how naturally it introduces complexity. The game avoids overwhelming players early by presenting mechanics gradually. New ideas build upon previously learned concepts, creating progression that feels rewarding rather than intimidating. The result is a puzzle experience where understanding develops naturally through experimentation. Players are encouraged to observe how water reacts to environmental changes and slowly develop stronger strategies through repeated attempts. The water simulation itself becomes the foundation that gives the game its personality. Water movement behaves in ways that constantly force players to think ahead and visualize outcomes before making adjustments. Solutions often emerge through careful observation rather than immediate instinct. The satisfaction comes not from rapid success but from slowly understanding how systems interact and using that knowledge to create increasingly efficient solutions. The game includes thirty-two handcrafted stages that steadily increase difficulty without abandoning accessibility. Early puzzles function as teaching tools, helping players understand how terrain affects water flow. Later stages begin introducing more demanding scenarios that require planning several moves ahead. This difficulty progression helps maintain engagement while preventing the experience from becoming repetitive too quickly. One of the more effective design choices comes through the way WET encourages optimization. Finishing a puzzle is only part of the challenge. Players can revisit completed stages and attempt cleaner solutions using fewer adjustments and stronger planning. This creates replay value naturally without relying on artificial progression systems. Players who enjoy efficiency and refinement will likely find themselves returning to earlier puzzles to improve performance. The atmosphere deserves recognition as well. WET clearly aims to create a peaceful environment rather than a stressful challenge. Softer presentation choices and slower pacing contribute to a calming rhythm that supports thoughtful problem-solving. Many puzzle games build tension through time pressure or increasing chaos. WET takes the opposite approach by giving players room to think carefully and experiment without punishment. Visually, the game favors clarity and simplicity over technical spectacle. The presentation remains clean and functional, ensuring environmental information stays readable as puzzles become more complicated. Terrain manipulation remains easy to understand visually, which becomes especially important during later stages where precision matters more. The minimalist style complements the gameplay rather than distracting from it. Audio design also strengthens the experience. Relaxing sound design and environmental atmosphere reinforce the slower pacing while helping maintain focus during longer puzzle sessions. The combination of calming pre…

Fun little chill game! It takes a min to figure out exactly what is happening, but it feels exactly like playing with the sand and water at the beach
