Stratego® Online

It’s an amazing strategy game. I played it a lot as a child. It’s all about strategy and memory, and you can try many different starting positions. The game is easy to learn. The offline campaign is fun but short; the main attraction is the multiplayer 1v1 mode. People of all ages, from children to adults, can enjoy it. There’s also a physical board game version that you can play with different rules. I think the digital version only offers the basic rules. I need to add an important note: now as I played more, I see the core problem of this game with the basic rules is that, most human players prefer to play typical inactive game, where they wait for you to attack and they only want to counterattack your revealed pieces. This makes the game very boring and slow actually, it is very unfortunate part of this game. It's why usually this game felt better to play against PC, which dared to attack too unless these human players who just want to use the defensive meta of waiting for the opponents to open more in attacks and they just want to lure your stronger pieces into their defense.

Am I the only one annoyed by the fact that the numbers were actually in reverse in the org. board game? the marshal was 1 and the scout was 9. otherwise bloody fantastic game that everyone should have in their library.

This is a fine break from serious MMO and MMORPG or Survival gaming. It helps that I'm a boomer and Stratego was a top end family game when I was young.
