Shirone: the Dragon Girl

Относительно простой 3д-платформер с головоломками, годной музыкой, и няфецной плюфкой в главной роли. 🥰 А ещё разработчики явно вдохновлялись легендарной серией Portal. По крайней мере, часть геймплейных элементов очень схожая, и это ни разу не минус. Для полного счастья предлагаю сыграть с русификатором собственного производства. Незамысловатая приключенческая головоломка про девочку дракона, которая была заперта в магическом замке, спасла души умерших и освободила собратьев-монстров. К покупке рекомендую, два вечера или один день хорошего времяпровождения обеспечены.

There's not much I can say about Shirone: the Dragon Girl that other reviews haven't covered; it's an extremely short yet competently designed 3D platformer puzzle game. Puzzles never feel overly daunting or complicated, but are well designed overall and will still stump you here or there. Shirone unlocks a few powers that open up new puzzle mechanics and there's hidden collectables for 100% completion, as well as currency to buy outfits, though those many of those outfits are unfortunately just recolors of her default. I was conflicted on what rating to give this game, as I did enjoy my very, very short time with it, but ultimately I decided to lean towards not recommended for a few reasons. $20 CAD just seems way too high for a game of this length. If you're good enough at puzzles you should be able to clear this in under 2 hours and while I think dollar value per hour is a bad way to judge games, I don't think the quality of the game justifies this price either. Music is fine but repetitive and lacks variety, and as you get closer to the end you end up doing levels set in floating voids like they just kinda gave up on designing environments. Shirone herself is the main selling point of the game and outside of the prospect of playing as an anime dragon girl, something that's not all that common on its own, she has very little going for her. There's some cute animations here and there like the way she holds her tail when she crouches but otherwise she's given basically nothing in the story, and doesn't really emote much or have a lot of personality which seems like a missed opportunity when she's such an important piece of the game. If the gameplay were outstanding, like something more akin to Pseudoregalia, I think these shortcomings would feel smaller but for the price, length, and just sorta... averageness of it all I wouldn't recommend buying this unless it's at a nice discount.
