I really loved the first part, so I was thrilled when I saw the announcement for the second one. I was looking forward to it. I believed in the developers, but unfortunately, the game didn’t meet my expectations-though I don’t blame the developers for that; it’s not their fault what I was hoping for. Compared to the first part, the game turned out to be really short. By the collectibles, I realized very early on that about 70% of the game was already done. The game became easier. Extremely simple, honestly. The only puzzle that made me think was the professor’s laptop password. That was unexpectedly tough and stands out sharply compared to the rest of the puzzles, which are solved almost without thinking. The difficulty of the puzzles feels like the developers made them for three-year-olds. The finale of the game is… something else. I’m not even sure what to call the finale: just the “boss fight” or also the tiny location with Randal. Even if you take both parts and call that the finale, it’s over in about 5 minutes and doesn’t pose any challenge at all. The puzzles there are elementary. I feel like about 80% of the content was cut from there. I don’t know why the game turned out so much weaker compared to the first part, but atmosphere-wise it’s the same game, with the same humor-just scaled back, and with less gore compared to the first one. But I believe there must have been solid reasons for this. I think I’d recommend this game to those who enjoyed the first part, just don’t get your hopes up too high.
Randal's Tuesday delivers an entertaining mixture of supernatural mystery, university mischief, and traditional point-and-click adventure gameplay. Developed by Nuclear Tales and Nexus Game Studios, with Nuclear Tales handling publishing duties, this comedic adventure revisits the universe of Randal's Monday while presenting a self-contained story that newcomers can appreciate without prior knowledge. Its strongest attraction is the combination of ridiculous situations, eccentric personalities, and puzzle-solving mechanics inspired by classic adventure games. Rather than pursuing modern action-oriented conventions, it embraces dialogue-heavy storytelling, environmental exploration, and unconventional problem-solving, creating an experience that feels nostalgic while maintaining its own peculiar identity. The story follows three university students, Randal, Matt, and Charlie, who find themselves accused of a terrible crime they insist they never committed. Their attempts to defend themselves before an increasingly hostile student council establish the foundation for a mystery involving suspicious circumstances and supernatural elements. Instead of following a straightforward timeline, the narrative unfolds through individual testimonies and flashbacks, gradually exposing the events that brought the protagonists into trouble. This structure introduces an enjoyable element of uncertainty, encouraging players to examine different perspectives before understanding the complete situation. The constant movement between past and present also allows the writers to incorporate unexpected revelations without abandoning the game's humorous personality. Controlling three protagonists is among the adventure's most appealing design decisions. Each character possesses distinctive dialogue possibilities, accessible locations, inventory objects, and abilities that influence how particular challenges can be approached. This variety prevents the experience from feeling entirely dependent on a single character's perspective and gives the storytelling additional flexibility. Puzzle-solving revolves around investigating environments, speaking with unusual individuals, collecting useful objects, and discovering creative ways to overcome obstacles. Success often requires patience and attention to seemingly insignificant details. While these mechanics should satisfy enthusiasts of traditional adventures, some solutions may appear excessively obscure to players unfamiliar with the genre's occasionally eccentric logic. The university environment is another important contributor to the game's charm. Rather than portraying academic life realistically, it transforms recognizable student activities into opportunities for outrageous comedy. Players encounter situations involving examinations, fraternity initiations, drinking competitions, costume parties, romantic pursuits, and tabletop gaming. These activities help establish a lively campus atmosphere where irresponsibility frequently leads to unexpected complications. The exaggerated portrayal of student culture works particularly well alongside the supernatural mystery, creating a setting where ordinary social problems and bizarre incidents coexist naturally. However, the humor occasionally leans heavily into immature behavior and absurd exaggeration, which may not appeal to audiences seeking sophisticated or emotionally serious storytelling. The visual presentation complements the experience through colorful 2D environments and an illustrated artistic direction reminiscent of traditional adventure games. Its locations emphasize personality rather than graphical realism, making exploration and environmental observation central parts of the experience. Character designs and background details contribute to the comedic atmosphere, while the overall aesthetic supports the game's lighthearted approach to otherwise suspicious circumstances. The audio presentation also deserves recognition for providing f…
