I got super addicted to this game when it came out but haven't come back to it, I would say it is pretty good and I would recommend it but I feel as though the loop isn't as fun as other roguelikes

The first couple hours feel fun. Once you get to cruciball 10 and beyond, it borderline stops being a game. so much of the game becomes pure RNG where no amount of skill would save a run. Wining stops feeling rewarding, because it feels like luck was more responsible than my own skill. So much of the game comes down to getting the right mini-boss, getting a good map, getting the right orbs or artifacts. There aren't enough ways to mitigate bad luck or stack odds in your favor, and its gotten worse with each update. So many encounters are designed to hard counter certain builds, you can do everything right and get bricked by an encounter you never got the orbs or relics you needed to beat it. So much build planning comes down to hoping you dont get certain fights or encounters. Look at the reviews, the majority of the positive ones don't have the playtime to have even unlocked all the characters or reached even cruciball levels. They stopped before the game becomes a glorified slot machine, those with more hours are actively seeking the rng slotmachine aspect. People with hundreds or even thousands of hours are no different than the addicts you see spending 8hrs a day at the casino sitting at the same machine mashing the spin button.

yeah its good wish there was like double the amount of floors though, although i get thats pretty impossible for a development team of like 1
