Football Coach: College Dynasty

I honestly have recommended this game to so many friends already. It's everything you could ever want in a program building game, without the gameplay. I was honestly kind of skeptical of no gameplay at first, but it helps enhance the focus on the program building aspect. You can still get the same feeling of excitement or letdown. It's so in depth, and the mods help just add to the immersion. Again, I CAN NOT recommend this game enough, it's SOOOO addicting.

Fantastic sports management sim, a ton of fun. The thing so many games like this get wrong is either making the management seem too shallow so the game isn't strategically interesting enough, or drowning you in micromanagement and tables of stats so it feels like work. This is a perfect balance, exactly the right amount of detail to manage: makes it feel fun and tactical without ever feeling monotonous. Making good decisions and carefully building your team feels very rewarding. Your approach and fine-tuning of team strategy based on your coaches and players really makes a difference to your team's performance. Tons of customization options for the way you want to play. Highly recommend.

As someone who loves OOTP I found this game to have tedious mechanics without a lot of payoff. It felt more like a min/maxing arcade game rather than a real simulation. I think the lack of fog of war plays into this, but also everything felt a bit impersonal.
