Emerald Blue

Insane shmup, when it clicks after a few runs you'll love it. Very replayable, downtime is nearly non existent. Great soundtrack too. Not for the faint of heart... <3 Well done devs! Looking forward to the sequel

Great and cohesive gameplay design. Really leans into the "manic" element, with strong point-blanking, fast patterns with large openings, and minimal downtime (between stages, on death). Fun patterns overall. Interesting graphics and vibe, it fits the game well. Mid music. Stages could be longer or +1 stage. Stage design is a bit repetitive even so, but boss patterns are great. Oddly seems to require Windows but forcing Proton works fine.

Short and sweet Cave-esque shmup. The game revolves around bleeding enemies of gems to keep up your chain. I love multitasking in shmups and Emerald Blue's delayed gratification gem mechanic fills that niche well. Gameplay is fast and dense, and there are appropriate quality-of-life features to facilitate that. With the addition of caravan and boss rush modes, you're easily getting your money's worth. There's even an Ura route for returning players. These last few features were added in updates. While the game is currently in its final state, I have to give props to the developers for supporting the game for as long as they did. I'll strongly recommend Emerald Blue to all shmup fans looking for an indie title to cleanse their palettes with.
