Dark Parables: The Little Mermaid and the Purple Tide Collector's Edition

After being a fan since childhood of the dark parables Series I can honestly say that this game is not a good one, this is on the weaker side. The Eipix change of the game makes for a jarring difference from the ambiance the details and the experience of the other games. It feels like they tried to make it too much Eipix with little regards to the original works and the usual Blue Tea touch so to speak. Although the scenes and the music were great and some puzzle are enjoyable, that's were the good things kinda stop for me. The story is so messed up and rushed. The plot is weak and the addition of Pinocchio makes no sense at all if you consider his story in the Final Cinderella game. Poor Pinocchio he is there just to remind the player of the old games (the nostalgia touch) and to basically get shafted and then his fate is left up in the air. The way we see the little mermaid as a sort of antagonist but then immediately forget everything she has done and just up and help her father just makes no sense. The father and the mermaid are supposed to be the antagonist but I didn't feel them like that, I thought they were just there to be there because plot I guess? The rushing of the story, the lack of sense making in this whole mess and also the short collector's edition story just make me say no to this game. It's definitely at the bottom of the dark parables games for me. The transition from solo Blue Tea Games to the collaboration to Eipix was badly executed on this one. This kind of game it's ok if you really want some no hard thinking game to play in the middle of the night or something...That being said this is just my opinion if you liked it great, for me is just a no and I will most likely not replay the game anytime soon.

This is an enjoyable game, but just be aware that it is one of those "find a shaped object to open a chest to get a shaped object that opens a hatch to find a shaped object that you use to open the portal to the next chapter" kind of game. Mindless, really, so if you're sleep deprived and want something simple, this is a good choice. Also I find the mini-games & HO scenes quite fun too.

there's a couple of puzzles that even when done correctly don't finish so i have to click skip anyways. and there is so far one wrong image to finish a potion, it gives the wrong plant in the directions. i had to try and use different things from my inventory to use and find out myself what worked. there's also a typo in a letter lol
