Complex Loop

Great game. Its a shame how little attention this has gotten. Fun puzzles, interesting combat, and a nice time travel story. Reminiscent of Zero Escape Series, with a smaller budget, no branching routes, and a plot that makes a little bit more sense.

This is a great time loop adventure novel, with some excellent ideas around time-mechanics, and fun twists and turns throughout it's breezy 6-8 hour run time! Supporting the novel are escape room segments and battle scenes. The battle system is really neat - think of it as a mix between Battleships and Minesweeper. The interplay between the battles and the story is lovely, and the battle tunes are often bangers. The escape rooms are fine if not remarkable - there's in-game hints and toggleable highlights for interactables, and there's some neat setups with items from one room persisting to be used in another. A few side notes: • The english translation is a little shaky in parts, but it's entirely understandable and easy to follow. There's a few untranslated UI strings and some unclosed emphasis tags, but these are mainly outside of the actual novel sections. • I played on the hardest battle difficulty. I can't really comment on the easier difficulties but I can recommend this one as being a good level of challenge, with down-to-the-wire battles and a boss towards the end that will encourage you to spec your stats and skills to overcome
