Bad Pixels

Presentation's gorgeous, you don't need me to tell you this ofc you can see the screenshots, the game does in fact look like that. Now let me tell you about the gameplay. Imagine you download an ancient 1.6.4 minecraft mod called "The Wild West Dimension". You make a portal out of red sand blocks, and you light it with a six shooter you craft out of four iron ingots. The dimension's nothing more than an infinite desert peppered with cacti and autogenerated saloon structures. There's mobs in it, too, that spawn in small groups of 1 - 6. Some mobs are bad guys, they're more or less reskinned skeletons, except they shoot hitscan and they drop money and ammo (which the six shooter can shoot). Then there's the civilians, who mindlessly wander around until tamed with aforementioned money to create a deputy, which is like the bad guy except it follows you around and only attacks hostile mobs. And that's it. The mod adds one dimension with one weapon and one enemy. Naturally, there's not really any depth to this, so you spend maybe ten minutes here before resolving to revisit when more content is added. That's what playing Bad Pixels is like. Why is it twelve dollars? Yeah, it's early access, but it's not like we have any meaningful assurance that it's gonna actually be finished, so the most charitable thing I can say is that the risk should knock down the price somewhat. There's no reason for you to buy this now.

its not necessarily bad, but yeah its unfinished and needs a lot more to it gameplay/story wise, and should probably just be a free demo as of right now. Maybe i need to play it for more than 10 minutes idk. Music is really cool though, and i feel bad for leaving a negative review, but hopefully when its finished it'll improve on those aspects cause i think it has some potential.

Love this game so far and I can't wait for more updates! I beat the first and only 2 towns in roughly 47 minutes of playtime, but what I saw and played was incredibly fun! I love the art style and silly humor, I'm hopping plenty more comes to this game! I've had very minor issues or bugs with the game, the aim feels a little "off" constantly, to the point that I'm unsure if the gun isn't that accurate or I am, but even still the gun fights feel engaging and fun- shooting off someone's hat and watching them run away will never get old
