XENOTILT: HOSTILE PINBALL ACTION

my problem with this game and demon tilt is that it's literally impossible to tell whats happening sometimes. I feel like with pinball something most players like is consistency, but with this I can't even track the ball. The flashing lights, random speed boosts and jankpots make it feel more like a vegas pachinko vs an actually pinball game.

normally i dont feel much for "games that are spiritual successors to old games" because theyre always kind of surface level and unadventurous but i get the impression naxat pinball crash altered the trajectory of the dev's life much as it did my own

Good virtual pinball combines things that a real pinball machine cannot do with true-to-life physics. The ball should always act like you would expect a real ball to act, even if the world around it is fantastical. Xenotilt does just that - an amazing "single" table that combines video game action with real-world ball physics. The action is frantic, the screen cluttered with enemies (almost TOO much sometimes), but there's always the ball, and it behaves as you'd expect. Good graphics, good music, and a really wild playfield.
