Woolly

I got this during a Steam sale. It's a relatively short idle game, but I think I agree with a previous reviewer in that I wouldn't call Wolly 100% an idle game. It's straight forward, collect sheep, shear them, collect all the fun colours and patterns! However, like it was previously mentioned, the sheep can fall over and when that happens, they won't grow their wool and then you can't collect it. Because of that, I did have to check on it a lot more in comparison to other idle games. I think I would recommend buying once it's on sale. If you're looking to complete all the achievements, it's really easy for the most part (I missed one, but probably due to a bug). It's cute and simple and if you're looking for something that's easy to pick up with not too much to learn, it's this one.

So, let me start by saying the sheep are super cute and the colorful patterns make me happy. I love a good cozy, cheerful idle game going in the background, so I was really looking forward to this one. As it stands right now, this game gets a C+ from me. It has the potential to be much higher but a few things hold it back and I'm likely to 100% it and never play again if they aren't changed. Pros: * Cute sheep. * Coat variation tickles the collector part of my brain, * Love the grind to automate way this plays out. * Breeding is an awesome addition. Cons: * A limit of 60 sheep means one of each color and that feels very limited. * It would be nice for there to be additional pastures to buy and a way to move the sheep between them. * The biggest and most glaring on is that there's no way to put fallen sheep back upright without clicking on them. The first few times they fell it was cute, now it's annoying and REALLY impacts enjoyment. With all the other automated things, I feel like there needs to be an option to either buy something that does this for you OR make it so that they only fall for a limited time before righting themselves. I really can't stress enough that if you leave your computer for 10ish minutes, more than half the sheep will be kicking their little leggies when you return and it's... a lot. The price is decent for what you get, but I do think with a few tweaks it would be fully enjoyable to play rather than something you enjoy for a bit and then you shelf forever because of one rather large annoyance.

this game makes me physically ill because it is so cute and wonderful to experience. the progression doesn't feel slow like i feel most idle games suffer for and the automation seems like it'll be a great touch! i adore it
