Wizard Pool

I dont understand all those people complaining about the controls. I have never played a normal pool game in my life so idk how they do it, but i think its important to be innovative in every part of game development, if certain controls and mechanics become completely standard to a genre then games can feel like they are just the same as the others but reskinned. In my experience the controls are pretty easy to get the hang of, you use m1 and m2 to rotate the cue, and hit the ball by moving the mouse, the speed of the mouse decides force. Its intended to be unusual, and it can be awkward at times, but its a puzzle game that happens to have a non-puzzle multiplayer mode, if it was easy to get the right amount of force and the correct angle it would be braindead. It just adds a challenge if you miss the ball or use the wrong amount of force, but that hasnt been much of an issue to me yet, trial and error always works wonders. I like how there's a line showing me where the cue is pointing, which is fairly long, it makes it much easier to predict where the ball will go. You have to predict the bouncing yourself, but the line shows what angle the ball will hit the wall, which makes it easier to do. I havent played online yet, which seems like what most people are doing here in the reviews, so i cant speak of that. The story mode seems to be the main game mode so it deserves to be covered as well. The dialogue of the story mode is pretty funny to me so far, and the levels are fun! You arent playing against anyone or anything in singleplayer, the levels are puzzles where you have to get specific balls into the holes with the table and balls changing every level. Every floor in the tower has a theme, at least to the point where i am, for example more holes that serve as obstacles, or tables that have only a narrow space to play in. Pretty fun!

I hate the control scheme. I like the idea and visual style of the game, but awkwardly swinging my cursor around to hit the balls makes me immedaitely want to rage quit whenever I launch the game to give it another chance.
