This is such a delightful focus tool!! I love the builtin radio (very calming, a pleasant loop), and it feels rewarding to decorate my tank after a particularly intesive focus session.

Even in early access, this game is a more polished fishkeeping experience than most other games in the genre. As an aquarium simulator, it has everything you could possibly want, including breeding, cleaning and decorating, an index with information about the fish you have collected, and beautiful fish. Outside of the very stiff turning animation, I am very pleased by the quality of the fish models in this game. The focus tools are also very effective. At first, I was disappointed that there is no way to indicate when a task is finished early and still claim the reward, but after spending more time with the game, I really think this is the right choice. In a world where speed and productivity are usually paired as standard metrics, this game reminds players to slow down and take their time. And there's no reason you can't simply chill and watch your fish if you do get done early. My one real criticism is that the ambient background noise loops are too short and don't loop well. As someone who gets sensory overload easily and prefers more natural sounds to music sometimes, this detracted from the overall experience. Hopefully in future updates we have more options for background ambiences, and a mixer might be nice, as well. However, for those who do prefer working with music, there are more playlists to choose from than the standard lo-fi one, including a space ambient list, which I really enjoy. All in all, great experience. This game does a wonderful job as both an aquarium simulator and a focus tool. Heartily recommend.
