Very fun party game, great if you like drawing and guessing games. The community modes are great too, you can really let your creativity run wild there!
We, Junk Artists takes the familiar multiplayer guessing-game formula and gives it an imaginative twist by replacing pencils and traditional drawing tools with piles of discarded objects. Developed by Perfect Day Studio and published by Spiral Up Games, the game asks players to transform seemingly useless junk into recognizable pictures and visual clues. It is an immediately understandable concept, but the unpredictable collection of objects available makes even straightforward prompts surprisingly challenging. The result is a social game built around creativity, improvisation, and the inevitable comedy that happens when a carefully constructed masterpiece looks completely different to everyone else. Rather than drawing a picture from scratch, players assemble images using objects such as wheels, toys, clothing, containers, appliances, pieces of metal, and other miscellaneous scraps. These items can be moved, rotated, layered, and combined until they resemble whatever the current prompt requires. This makes the experience accessible to people who might normally avoid drawing games because they believe they cannot draw. Artistic technique matters far less than the ability to recognize shapes and creatively repurpose objects. A random circular item might become an eye, wheel, planet, or piece of food depending on how it is positioned. One of the more interesting elements is the ability to manipulate creations dynamically instead of relying entirely on static collages. Movement can become part of the clue, opening additional possibilities when an object is difficult to represent using junk alone. The system naturally encourages experimentation because there is rarely a single correct way to communicate an idea. Sometimes an elaborate construction succeeds, while a crude arrangement of only a few pieces communicates the answer more effectively. This uncertainty gives each round its personality and produces plenty of amusing misunderstandings. Multiplayer is clearly where the concept has the greatest potential. Sessions support up to six players, making it suitable for smaller groups without becoming excessively chaotic. Online competitive and cooperative options provide different ways of approaching the activity, while customizable word lists allow groups to personalize their sessions. Custom prompts are particularly valuable for long-term replayability because friends can create categories based around shared interests, jokes, games, films, or practically anything else that suits the group. There is progression beyond simply completing rounds. Players can collect and unlock additional pieces of junk, gradually increasing the number of objects available for future creations. It is a fitting progression system because new objects do more than provide cosmetic rewards. Each unusual item potentially becomes another creative tool. Something that initially looks completely useless may eventually become the missing piece needed to communicate a difficult prompt. This reinforces the game's central theme of finding unexpected value in discarded things. The social features extend beyond guessing correctly. Players can show appreciation for creations by placing red flowers on them, while expressive stickers offer another playful way of reacting to what other people make. Stickers produce sounds and musical notes, allowing groups to turn otherwise quiet moments into spontaneous little performances. These details help establish a friendly atmosphere where creating something ridiculous can be just as rewarding as producing an immediately recognizable collage. The presentation appropriately embraces the messy nature of the premise. Instead of trying to make every object visually consistent, the assortment benefits from looking like a mismatched collection of things rescued from a junk pile. A cozy campfire setting contrasts nicely with the discarded materials and gives multiplayer gatherings a relaxed character. The visual style suppor…
I don't write many reviews, but I will say this game is quite a lot of fun. Imagine Pictionary, but instead of drawing you use "junk" to craft all sorts of things. I am very excited for upcoming updates with my only gripe is that the lobby size is limited to 6 people. With a group of friends I could see us having a great time for many hours. An additional note: When my friends an I had first bought the game, we had tried to load it up and play. Unfortunately, we were having some connectivity issues and weren't able to play. We were all saddened by this and I went to the games Discord for assistance. Literal minutes after I had messaged in the discord asking about the issue we were facing, I had a dev reach out to help. The next day, my friends and I were able to play and it was genuinely such a blast. I would def recommend this game for game play alone, but the fact that the devs took time out of their day to address a small issue goes a long way for me. Definitely worth picking up even if it is just for a night or two of fun with friends! 10/10 Would junk craft again
