We Are One

I really wanted to like this game, but with all due respect to the devs, as someone that has played more games in which you cooperate with clones of yourself, this game definitely has some mechanics that make the gameplay less enjoyable and kind of frustrating in some particular levels: 1. Some clones get deleted depending on where you place your next clone, even when the game tells you from the very beginning that you can place as many clones of yourself as there are spawn points. Why is this a problem? Because: 2. The order in which you have to add clones and solve the puzzles is not by building up from what your previous versions did, but by guessing what your future clones will do beforehand. What do I mean? Well, usually in time loop games, you go from step 1, to step 2, to step 3 of the puzzle, and each clone is put in that order to take care of those tasks. You cannot do that here. Your clone 1 has to guess where on the floor is the ammo that clone 2 will throw later. 3. Not only that, but when you play as clone 1, and you run out of ammo, the gun itself bends upward and blocks your sights, so you can neither aim well, nor see where the bullet lands, because you have to shoot at the enemies with no bullets (since clone 2 has not thrown you the ammo yet). If you reset clone 1 to continue with the puzzle, clone 2 is deleted as well in some levels. I´m sure there are some people that can figure it out and finish the game despite all that, but I really don´t want to guess where I´m shooting at, or guess if I picked up the ammo to even shoot, or reset all clones just because I wanted to move a single one. By all means, if you wanna play this game even in those conditions, all power to you and I hope you enjoy it, but I can´t recommend it with these traits.

Fun puzzler, if even just for messing with all the clone physics. Doesn't have Steam Achievements, which would be a really nice add. Does have a very capable Community Level Editor in headset that extends life of the game significantly!

We are the forest... we. ARE. ONE!!! Play as a sproutling created by the great forest guardian and defend the forest against the machines using your cunning, problem-solving skills, and... time travel?? (not really time travel, you just start the loop over, basically) Highly recommended for VR puzzle solvers and anyone who likes colorful shooting games.
