Virtual Skate

great game.... in fact was my favorite vr game but now unfortunately only on the quest.. controls DO NOT WORK NO MATTER HOW MANY SETTINGS I HAVE GONE THROUGH

The physics are well done, and as a consequence it does feel like skating more than any other game. One slightly annoying thing is it seems impossible to play single player, simply entering a level looks like a single player mode, but randoms will likely join soon after. Great if you want a social game but annoying that it's forced appon the user. Hope that gets fixed. UI could do with some improvements.

OK, when writing this review I played only an hour, but it should say something that I still came here to give these thoughts. I see this game as a hearts-project, the detail in personalisation in the game mechanics was the most surprising pointer to it, next to the lovely bug reports and updates for over half a year. I just want to share that I had a ball in those 60 minutes, and will come back to this game at some point, as my thoughts have circled around it since. I'm no scater, but without the risk of hurting myself Virtual skate showed me and many others the thrill of dorping in a half pipe and shooting up 3m out the other end, something that stuck with me.
