Vestaria Saga II: The Sacred Sword of Silvanister

Я вообще-то люблю игры типа Fire Emblem, но вот эта с первых же секунд запуска вызывала только раздражение. Запускаешь игру на ПК - и тебе сразу плюют в лицо: нет полноэкранного режима по умолчанию. В настройках его тоже нет, гуглишь, как включить. Второе - по умолчанию, опять напоминаю, для ПК! - не клавамышь. Ну и прочее дальше, хз как что пройти и прочее... Я не знаю, я играл в Fire Emblem на симуляторе SNES и испытывал крайне положительные эмоции. С тех пор, этот жанр стал одним из моих любимых, и, черт вас дери, поучитесь у создателей Dark Deity 2 как делать шедевр. Давай, до свидания.

Compared to the first game, Vestaria Saga 2 improves in almost every (if not all) aspects. Better combat, better class system, better character growths, better starting base attributes, more weapon options and a whole lot of different map missions. The leveling system is simmilar to FE4, having a level cap of 30 but 95% of the characters already come promoted, so you dont need to worry about promotion management. There are around 5 characters who can promote or change classes, though, to keep things interesting. They have lower stat caps compared to your roster but they level up faster, so thats the trade-off. The game has 25 chapters and there are many different chapters where you require certain characters or where you have a "if you use X character here, they wont be available next chapter", which kinda emulates the fatigue system from FE5. I liked it because it gives you an excuse to use every character. The characters are very balanced and there isnt a very big difference in power among them. All of them are good and are somewhat relevant to the story. I loved the fact that many characters from the 1st game make a comeback. Difficulty is spot-on and exp gain was improved in this 2nd game, making both experiences better. Overall, a very solid game, clearly a big improvement from the 1st. I more than recommend it if you are a FE fan or just want to play an amazing game with a deep and involving story!

Do not buy this game, you cannot beat it. By no means is this a bad game, it's actually great. However, there is a bug still present as of October 2025 that renders the game impossible to complete. The bug, "Error: singleton\singleton-itemcontrol.js Line 394: Type mismatch" occurs whenever you trade an item from one unit to an empty inventory slot of another unit, and it crashes the game (you can't fix this by editing any game files or by attempting it on the Japanese version). In both Vestaria Saga 1 and 2, trading an item with another item or using the stockpile to deposit/withdraw items can circumvent this bug. However, in Vestaria Saga 2, you will not be able to progress past Chapter 23 due to this bug. Chapter 23 is a prison map with over 6 cells that need to be opened in order to progress, and there's an enemy who drops "Emma's Ring of Keys" when killed. They function as a Master Key but can only be used by Emma, who happens to be in one of the cells. Emma has an empty inventory. She cannot use a weapon to kill the enemy herself, and the bug means you cannot trade the keys to her without crashing your game, rendering it impossible. This bug has apparently been present since December 2024, and there have been no attempts made by the developers to fix it. As long as this bug persists, I cannot recommend this game.
