Tornado: Research and Rescue

Recommended - Early Access Review Tornado: Research and Rescue still has a lot of work ahead of it, but that's also what Early Access is for. There are definitely rough edges. Performance needs work, some parts of the game need more depth, and after enough chases things can start to feel repetitive. There are also places where the game could do a much better job explaining what you're supposed to be doing, especially if you don't already understand weather and storm chasing. But underneath all of that is a really good idea for a game. I love that this isn't just about driving toward a tornado and watching destruction. You're reading forecasts, using radar, deploying probes, trying to position yourself correctly, warning people and actually doing research. The procedural storms, towns and destruction also give this a lot of potential because the developer isn't trying to build every chase around the same scripted event. The biggest reason I'm recommending it in its current state is the developer. Sam is very active, listens to feedback and is active on Discord with the community. That matters a lot to me with an Early Access game. I've seen plenty of Early Access projects with great ideas die because the developer disappeared. That doesn't seem to be what is happening here. The game was recently rebuilt from the ground up, so I don't expect everything to be polished yet. There are things that need fixing and plenty that I want to see added, but the foundation is here and the developer appears committed to improving it. If you're expecting a finished and polished storm chasing simulator today, I'd probably tell you to wait. If you understand what Early Access means and want to support a unique storm chasing game while watching it develop, I think Tornado: Research and Rescue is absolutely worth giving a chance. I'm looking forward to seeing where Sam takes it.

This game has alot of potential, BUT Pros: Graphics are great, tornadoes look great, radar looks great, and overall the graphics arent bad. Cons: Its lacking content, gets repetitive after a while even after creating your own tornadoes, and workshop content doesnt even work anymore (to my knowledge). Until the bad parts of this game get fixed i probably wont consider playing this game much. Though I will be watching for future updates as this game gets updated alot

For people playing the game for the first time, like me, its very confusing, i wouldn't recommend it for people who don't know advanced metrology, the game is very hard to understand
