The Legend of Skye

I had my eyes on this game for a long while (literally years) and was finally able to buy and play it. The game has a lot of charm and it oozes with love for the old Lucasarts-Games like Monkey Island. I'd definitely recommend it even though i'd have 1-2 things that could have been better in my opinion. 1. The Puzzles First of all. The puzzles actually all make sense and are logical. ONCE you figured out what the game wants you to do. Unfortunately the dialogue options do a pretty bad job when it comes to providing hints to what you're supposed to do. As an example: At one point you're supposed to return a lost squirrel. When you try to return the squirrel you're told that it doesn't look like the missing one. Unfortunately the game does not tell you, that the only thing missing is a pink piece of cloth. A single line like "That's a nice pink ribbon it's wearing" would have already helped. 2. The Puzzle Design Towards the end there is a riddle where you have to press different Menhirs. Easy enough but for you have to first look at each single one before you can press it. This makes the puzzle more complicated and tedious. It's less about figuring out what you need to do and more about doing it how the game wants you to do it This being said. I'm complaining on a high niveau here and i think the game is really good. It could just be a tad bit better.

What a great trip of 90s point and click nostalgia! The humor and the art style are pure Monkey Island, and the orchestral soundtrack is amazing, especially in cutscenes. The puzzles are quite trippy sometimes, I had to use a walkthrough on some occasions. And I would have loved some more convenience functions like quick travel or double click to instantly exit a screen. But those are small complaints. The game is absolutely worth the price, and I'm excited for the dev's next game.

Thoroughly enjoyed it. Art: 10/10 Music: 10/10 Story fills me with so much joy and is enriching. Has a lot of creativity e.g., putting a modern DnD enthusiast shop in a medieval setting. Moon logic puzzles exist, don't be ashamed of looking at hints online, but try to solve them on your own. Most are fairly solvable with just a few moon logic. Totally recommend it.
