It's surprisingly heavy and emotional, and the characters are written with so much depth that I couldn't help but get attached to them. Because the game is linear, the pacing stays super tight and focused, and the simple controls let me just sit back and absorb the story without fighting the game. Very calm and cozy. It balances the heavy emotional moments with some genuinely funny, cute scenes that had me smiling. The cutscenes are expertly crafted, and the soundtrack is completely on point. It always hits the exact right note for whatever the scene is trying to make you feel. Visually, I was blown away by the pixel graphics. It shows that retro art styles can carry an insane amount of emotional weight and beauty. The Bad I ran into two specific issues: • Language Barrier: At one point, the English translation completely vanished, and only Chinese text was visible. I have no idea if that was intentional or a bug, but it definitely pulled me right out of the moment. I had to translate those words using my phone, and it was no fun. • No Chapter Select feature: Yes, there is literally no chapter select feature. If you miss those achievements, a 2nd playthrough is the only option. I could have completed it in 4.5 hours if I wasn't roaming everywhere and talking to random people haha. There are 3 missable achievements out of 9. And as I said before, there is no chapter select feature, so keep a guide handy for these missable achievements. I used keyboard & mouse as the controller was acting weird when I started it. That should do it. Final Verdict Brilliant storytelling, cute moments, and a fantastic soundtrack make this a must-play. Just watch out for the missing chapter select if you're hunting achievements! i had a very favourable view of the game because of my high expectations. unfortunately, my experience wasnt good playing it. the game wont even let me exit while the dialogues are running, my biggest gripe with it. and the dialogues take too long and i feel my attention slipping away, although thats a more of a me problem. i do wish people made games with brisker writing. theres also too little gameplay for it to be satisfying. i hope to finish the game, just out of curiousity to know what happens at the end of it. but i wont recommened it, sorry.
