The Doors of Trithius

This game rules. The progression is slow, but rewarding so unlocking something always feels significant. Classes get you started but aren't restricting in any way, one class can learn and level anything any of the other classes can. Love to see native Linux support. I bought the game on the developer's website, it came with a code to activate the game on Steam. Costs the same amount, but the dev gets the full value of the purchase.

A strangely addictive game that reminds me of the very early days of Everquest - running belts and swords for rep and small bits of gold. The onboarding is a brutal thing here (also just like early EQ); I recommend starting with a Fulminar character (lightning) to learn the ropes. Once you get in the swing of things and get some skills up, it's very hard to put this game down and get back to real life. A strong recommendation - just remember that the beginning is tough. Stick with it and you won't be sorry.

Nothing about this game is rewarding. Progression is too slow, the classes don't have any real meaning to them, and you need to be an Executive Chef for 25 years to just make a salad.
