The Count of Monte Clicker

Хорошая игра в жанре "кликер", пусть кликать здесь нужно и не так много. Игра даёт два вида геймплея и чередует их по главам, что не даёт сильно заскучать. А небольшие шутки и отсылки на сюжет первоисточника "Граф Монте Кристо" и весьма приятная музыка не дают заскучать.

The Count of Monte Clicker is worth playing for the hilarious riot that are the first three acts (out of four). Neat, hilarious, ever so slightly fumbles at the last act The last, fourth act is absolutely decent, puts a neat bow on everything, but it lacks the absolute hilarity of dialogue and ambience of the first two acts, and the new mechanics lack the sheer novelty. Honestly, it almost feels like the developer started TCoMC with the intent of adapting the entire The Count of Monte Cristo novel, blazed through the finished game's first three acts, realised the full adaptation would take enormous time and effort (or that it was harder to write such great dialogue with Abbe Faria dead), and rejiggered act four so the game could end at a satisfying spot, plot-wise. I'm certainly glad he did, but I'm also ever so wistful about what could have been. In conclusion, I really hope Adam Travers will make another game that's as hilarious as this one.

A short and very slight idle game from a dev who mostly makes those kinds of short idle games. It's a node buster. It's exactly what you expect - grind, buy upgrades, grind, buy upgrades. There's not really much thought here and while the plot is cute it also stops less than a quarter of the way into the novel for reasons I assume can be described as "the gameplay has become samey and dry". I don't think there's much to recommend here.
