That's Not My Mom

It is a very barebone anomaly game that needs more work. Many of the days are scripted, so the scare factor wears of pretty quickly. As of the time of this review a couple achievements are broken, so if you are an achievement hunter you might want to check the discussions page before buying this one. We brought it up a few weeks ago but have heard nothing from the devs, so I cant recommend this game in this current state.

game was overall great for the price, your favorite happy meals are more expensive, there was a few spooks that made my skin crawl , played for a hour and jacked lost, next hour i played through and beat it, lost a couple times then pushed through, overall great game, check it out dudes!!

So where does That's Not My Mom land? For me... it's average. Not terrible. Not particularly memorable either. The anomaly mechanics work. There are a couple of decent scares. The Mom encounters are creepy. And the final reveal gives the game a much more interesting story than I initially thought it had. But compared with the anomaly games already available, it feels very limited. I finished it in 44 minutes. It's not particularly difficult. The fixed encounters reduce the scare factor if you have to replay days. The house feels underused. And the story needed much more room to breathe. Would I go back and replay it to find every anomaly? Probably not. Would I come back if the developer seriously expanded the game, opened up those rooms and developed the story? Absolutely. And then there's the price. I paid R54.49. For that amount of money? Yeah. It's fine. If you like anomaly games and want a short little horror experience you can finish in one sitting, you're probably going to get your R54 worth. So I'm actually giving That's Not My Mom: 🔵 WORTH A GO — flawed, but worth trying if it's your thing ...with a tiny asterisk. Because it's already cheap. If R54 doesn't bother you and you really enjoy anomaly games, just play it. But if you're looking for one of the best examples of the genre? There are other games I'd play first.
