Tavern Legends

This is a pretty good hidden gem, Its just a good tavern management game. The game has some jank to it but it has charm. I hope to see some more world expansion come to the game one day, maybe we could venture out of the city, gather resources and deliver carts of moon juice to forest gnomes.

This game somehow strikes a chord with me in a way I hadn’t experienced before. Having your own tavern, pouring beer yourself, serving it, running around with a tray, and handing out water and beers. It’s really a ton of fun. At some point, you get your own employees to help out, which makes the whole thing “a little” easier. But unfortunately, it really is just a little. You can fit 6 beers on your tray yourself, and you’ll need that when you eventually have over 50 guests at once. Unfortunately, the employees aren’t any help at all—they carry just 1 beer at a time, always walk slowly to their destination, then head back and process the next order. By that time, I’ve usually already got more than 6 beers spread out on my tray. Think of the staff more as beer-pouring slaves or a cleaning crew. I currently have 2 bartenders in my tavern and 2 who serve the beers, but their main job is just to clean up. The system works pretty well this way, but at some point you really are just running back and forth. It would be so much nicer if you had time to pour beers yourself, actually interact with customers, or play games. I don’t even really have time to visit the market or do other things because the tavern takes up so much time. There should definitely be some more perks you can level up so that the employees can take more of the load off your hands. When you finally have time to enjoy the game—which mainly happens in the early hours, since you have relatively few customers—the game really does a lot of things right. The AI songs and conversations take some getting used to, but I’ve had a good laugh a few times or really gotten into the groove when a song is really good. At times, you really feel like you’re in a medieval tavern. Unfortunately, though, that eventually gives way to grueling grinding, and you barely have time for it anymore. Or you just cut back on beer consumption to a minimum—running at a loss—because you need to hire bards, pay your staff, and beer isn’t free, after all. Since the developer is still updating the game fairly often, I'll probably edit my review at some point, because other than that, I really like the game. Right now, in my opinion, it's only worth the money if you really get into the gameplay loop. Otherwise, half the price would be more appropriate. Oh and PSA: Turn the king off after the first 1-2 hours. He's just annoying for no benefit.

This could be a good game. Building is still bugged. Sadly the potencial has been wasted by some 15 years old Developer, who implemented Immature King role, who comes to the tavern and take a s.hit on the flor. The next thing are this terrible jokes being told by the guests, damn nightmare. After 20 hours in the game i have decided to turn the sound off. Guests who visit my tavern are constantly puking, burping and farting. Did you realy think that this will be fun ?
