Swamp Keeper

Easy recommend. Solidly in my favorites. It's a small game (you can 100% it within 3-ish hours), but it's an incredibly well made arcade experience that I could EASILY play more of, on the merits of its gameplay loop alone. Thankfully, Swamp Keeper also looks good, sounds great, and has plenty of customization, variety, and difficulty options to keep things fresh every time you come back. The gameplay is incredibly simple to understand, filled with constant valuable micro-decisions that quickly lock you into a flow state, and rewards raw skill far more than RNG buildcrafting. Enemies are varied (even before modifiers), intuitive to understand, and clearly telegraphed, so even if the screen is covered in enemies and projectiles, I never feel lost, or like a loss is due to anything other than my own fault. I do wish there was more to experience, but I also feel like I've gotten a steal of a deal (especially for only $4). The folks that made this should be proud.

this is a fantastic little bite sized roguelike, just enough variability where things dont feel stale, and the mechanics/combat is snappy and satisfying. worth a buy for sure!!

It's of those hidden gems that you don't expect to randomly find, but when you try it, you get hooked instantly. Very well executed, skill-based archery arena shooter that's unforgiving when you make mistakes. It has some roguelike elements, but skill matters much more then items.
