The quality is not what I expected, seems that the dev just put it together and called it a day with no attention to details or player experience. Honestly surprised at the amount of positive reviews. Plays more like a free indie game/demo, dialogue is extremely boring and uninteresting for a story driven game. Lost my interest doing back and forth walking around chores that doesn't progress the story or overall worldbuilding. If a game doesn't grab my attention in the first 30 minutes of gameplay, I would consider it a waste of time.

It has smoothly brought me back to the sort of 1980s-90s China where I didn't live but can imagine based movies, books, and the good old days when I was born very soon afterwards. Playing this game needs patience, but sometimes too much patience in my view, when it comes to the lack of the function of saving progress at any time, which means when I want to leave, I need to play through to the next saving point. 逝者如斯夫。 Good luck to the developer and everyone who has shared the fascinating childhood when we were filled with one thing I sometimes see fading nowadays—hope.
