Сначала, признаюсь, я был слегка скептичен, но быстро втянулся в ритм. В игре нужно управлять пингвином-музыкантом, который собирает ноты, сражается с разными антарктическими созданиями и прокачивает свои навыки. Боевая система, хоть и кажется простой, на деле требует тактического подхода и знания врагов. Случайные события и разнообразие предметов постоянно держат в напряжении, не давая заскучать. Особо хочется отметить визуальный стиль. Яркая и мультяшная графика прекрасно сочетается с динамичным джазовым саундтреком, создавая энергичную и задорную атмосферу. Игра не лишена юмора, и это добавляет ей шарма. Да, сложность игры может заставить попотеть, особенно на первых порах, но это лишь делает каждую успешную вылазку еще более приятной. Если вы любите roguelike-игры с необычным сеттингом и хорошей долей юмора, то 'South Pole Bebop' – отличный выбор. Рекомендую!

This is done for the profit of the developers, regardless of the harm it causes to gamers. This is completely predatory and unethical. Gamers must be aware of the dangers of this predatory monetization and should avoid this completely. Note: Dead PvP game This game contains no meaningful single player content. There's no viably populated servers/active player population. This game cannot be played as intended. Warning: Microtransaction infested mobile-tier game! This game isn't free, it's infested with a nasty mobile-style in-game cash shop. You will be expected to hand over cash to the "developers" just for playing this junkware. "South Pole Bebop" is just one of thousands of non-free mobile-tier clones polluting the "free" category on Steam, and it carries hidden, toxic monetization. Even if it isn't on the official app stores, this is a mobile app in every way that matters... it shares the same trashy visuals and brain-dead mechanics common to mobile cash grabs. It likely isn't on the app stores because Google and Apple actually have standards, whereas Valve lets anything onto Steam. This loot box excursion from South Korea never made it to the app stores but everything about it feels like a mobile app... needless to say this crashed and burned hard on Steam Direct, mostly due to the toxic monetisation and mobile app appearance. It's intended to be a "PvPvE" turn based tactical game where the winner of each round is determined by who opened the most loot boxes (and paid the developers cash money to do so). So that's cancer. This is a purely superficial experience designed for a phone screen. The graphics and the mechanics are bottom-tier... imagine the gaudy, cheap plastic casing on the slot machines at the casino. That's what this is, a cheap flashy veneer on a shallow non-game with one purpose... to bleed you dry through mobile-tier microtransactions. Putting that toxic mobile app monetisation aside... this is basically a mobile app on the wrong platform. I didn't spend thousands on a gaming PC so I could pretend it's an iPhone, and I don't think you did either... this kind of mobile app has no place in your Steam library. On the important matter of pricing and value for gamers, there's a lot going on here with monetisation, so this really shouldn't be considered a truly free product because of that. This game is infested with mobile app store like microtransactions. This is a consumer hostile model that we don't need to see on PC. It's deceptively priced to gouge gamers, and that's a reason in itself to avoid this. Furthermore, the developer has their hand out for a $2 USD "donation" for this as you're expected to give them money for soundtrack DLC (that's already in the game) from Steam to "support" the "developer"... digital panhandling. Like the homeless guys who splash dirty water on your windscreen at the traffic lights. No thanks. A peak of 10 concurrent players (according to SteamDB) for a "free" game is a disastrous public reception. Out of 130 million potential players here on Steam, almost nobody was interested. Even though this is "free". That level of rejection speaks a lot for the quality of the game. All other issues aside (any of which would disqualify this from being worth your time), this is a game that relies on other players for it to be viable, and because there's not enough players, it's not viable. I can't recommend anyone downloads this, it's basically dead.

Looks really nice, music is decent and gameplay concept is acceptable. However there isn't much there. The animation speed is too slow and you end up waiting a lot for the other two fractions to perform their turns. Attacks end your turn, movement range is insanely limited and remove a lot of the tactical aspects. Apart from that there is no story and not a lot of meta progression either.
