Sophie's Safecracking Simulator

I bought a safe at auction with no combination provided. I was able to use this simulator to practice on. I spent about 45 minutes on this simulator to train my brain for the cracking process, then a hour or two of manipulation on the actual safe and I was in!! The only treasure inside was a VHS of Raiders of the Lost Ark, obviously somebody had a good sense of humor!!!

I'm an avid lockpicker, and this sim came recommended to me by multiple safecrackers in our community as a solid introduction to the art. Having virtually no understanding of how safes function beforehand (though an understanding of locking mechanisms from picking does help a little) this $2.99 simulator was more than worth the price. It taught me the terminology of safe manipulation, the mechanisms at work, and exactly how to approach the process. Safecracking is easier said than done even when you know the process, but this simulator achieved exactly what I bought it for and I'm ready to work on my first real dial. I recommend this if you're either interested in safecracking or are just curious about the mechanisms. This is really fascinating stuff, in my opinion, and the sim adequately demonstrates everything.

i was looking online for a safe lock to practice on and thay were all a little expensive for something i wasn't sure i could do, and a used safe was going to be a lot to try and move and store. I found this and it really helped bridge the gap between what i had read up on safe cracking and then actually putting it into practice with some more generous tolerances in the locks. im looking forward to getting better and able to crack the lock with more real life tolerances, and eventually the real thing
