Rent Due

I've had a few bugs, the main one that bugged me (haha) I reported but somehow it fixed itself a little while after reporting. I will say it is pretty bland with the gameplay, while I am enjoying this game I feel there could be more. Like give options to allow tenets to pay weekly/Bi-weekly/Monthly instead of daily or every 3rd day. At over an hour in and I just have 2 houses so far (the 2 cheapest) and I used a loan to get the 2nd. You can't pay off your weekly loan payment ahead of time, you only can pay it all off early otherwise it's deducted at the end of the week. I'd love options where you could talk to the tenet about doing some remodels (like say you want to paint or add a room that wasn't there when they rented, and so on), see if they'd like to rent one of your better properties for the higher rent, and so on. It's really buy your first place, get as many rooms put in as you can afford at that time (unless you do a loan.. but not sure if you can do that right away, I didn't look) then rent it... then sleep, get a notice something happened overnight and you'd hear about, collect rent (sometimes you're told in person the overnight even instead of a call at this point), do an inspection once a week, sleep... sleep... sleep... Really all I do is collect rent, inspect and pass time sleeping to get to the time(s) I can collect rent and do inspections. This has the feeling it could be a great game but I feel there needs to be more between sleeping and collecting rent and doing inspections. Well there is more if you have the money to buy more houses and put the rooms in. I just got the feature where I can hire a company to collect rent and do stuff for me but because I only have 2 houses and want stuff to do between sleeping times I've not done anything with it. It's interesting reading the reports you pay for (which irl I normally see landlords charging people to run the check instead of using their money). I haven't had to evict anyone yet so not sure how that whole thing works, but one tenet is getting close as they're on their final warning from inspections. I feel you could go slumlord, get greedy or be a kind and understanding landlord. Apparently the tenets do remember the things (I got a pop up saying something like that but can't remember the wording). The one I'm being nice to has given me no issues, just some trash when I do inspections but no issues. The other one I am being firm but understanding after the first inspection house condition. To be fair their reports were totally different from the get go, one good and one meh so the 2nd renter is on me haha. I kinda wish I could give this a neutral rating as, if the dev works on it and adds more content between sleeping periods it could be a decent and fun game. Right now it's kinda more an idle game in my mind, but I'm not... not enjoying it. I just wish there was more to do. If you grab it on sale for around $4 or so I'd say worth it but really at $10 (Full Price) I'd say pass till more has been added unless you're okay with slow progress. I'm hoping when I get into the auctions and other features it'll get more busy and then it'll feel better. However do keep in mind, that the time clock does pass pretty fast as well so if once I'm further along I might not be sleeping as much. TLDR: Sleep.. collect rent and/or do inspections, see if you can buy/room a new house (if so do that then rent it) then sleep again. Price high for what it is right now (main reason for Neg rating), better to get it closer to $4 (If I saw sales or Full price closer to this I'd recommend it). Has the potential to be good if more features are added to do while awake where I'm at. I know there's more features but I'm not at that level to unlock yet.

I like it. Simple and straight forward. Get employee's to help take the load off you, as you work up your little slumlord gig. Dev is working hard and it shows.

I enjoyed the game during the first few hours, but the experience becomes repetitive fairly quickly. The core loop revolves almost entirely around collecting rent, going to sleep, and repeating the same cycle day after day, with very little variation to keep things engaging. I do appreciate the tenant selection system — choosing renters based on credit scores and past reviews is a great idea. However, even tenants with strong profiles frequently request to postpone their payments until payday, which makes the mechanic feel less meaningful than it could be. The weekly auctions are fun and add a bit of excitement, but they happen too infrequently to break up the monotony. The most interesting moments come from tenant complaints about others “growing something,” which leads to a small cut of their side hustle. Unfortunately, once the police shut down their operation, that source of variety disappears as well. Overall, the game has a solid foundation and clear potential, but it needs more tasks, events, and systems to keep players engaged long‑term. Since this is still Early Access, I genuinely hope the developer takes this feedback on board — with more content and deeper mechanics, this could become a much more enjoyable and dynamic experience.
