Here's what you do: You are a witch who can shoot spells. You start off with a straight shot, but eventually unlock various spread shot type attacks after you defeat certain bosses. Defeated enemies drop money which is used at shops to purchase upgrades to your shots, like increased firing speed or range. You move around the world one screen at a time. There are various doors of set colors around the map which are removed by finding the same color key. The gameplay can sometimes feel like bullet dodging. What I like: + The game sort of leads you in a direction to go, but you can very easily do things out of order, which some achievements are easily done by doing so. + All the achievements were reasonable and fun to get, although I did use a map to figure some of them out. + The difficulty was just right for me, not too hard and not too easy. What I don't like: - The game is meant to be played in 'runs' and so forces you to start from the beginning when you beat the game. You can beat the final boss and still continue exploring as long as you don't talk to the NPC in the room after the final boss. Just something to be aware of. - I have no idea what the story is or what I was trying to accomplish. Conclusion: The game is short, but fun and cheap. I had fun replaying it for all the achievements and so I recommend it.
A short but sweet little bullet hell metroidvania! Fairly tricky at parts especially that slug boss and the dark souls-esque runback for it but never too frustrating. It's a fun little game!
It was a lot of fun. Similar to the original Legend of Zelda or Golvellius, but shorter, and with a touch of bullet-hell.
