OddFauna : Secret of the Terrabeast

There are definitely some bugs since it is in EA but I am really enjoying the game! The detail in the clay sculpted figures is amazing. I love how many cute little critters there are and I am on my second round of the game and have barely scraped the surface

First of all, everything is hand-sculpted/painted and then scanned in. Absolutely beautiful. I went to ComicCon back in 2014/2015ish and bought a print from the creator, and the fact that she and whoever else has worked on it since then with the same amount of love and care throughout the entire process is so special. The game itself is super fun so far. It's an open sandbox type game with saving each day when you sleep. There's OddFauna you can befriend. materials to gather, things to craft, regions to explore, land to terraform, building, farming, mining, etc. I like the building aspect the most, because I feel like I get overwhelmed when I have every option in the world to build. You have options of already designed pieces to place, which eliminates a little bit of decision paralysis for me. All of the OddFauna are adorable, and it's so cute seeing them walk around, and even cuter to befriend them and have them live on your terrabeast. You're also able to have a party up to 4 OddFauna with you while you're exploring, and they each bring a different skill to help you out. I have yet to explore outside of the first region as I'm waiting to get a backpack upgrade first, but so far I am so beyond happy with how this game is, and am so excited for more updates and to see where the game goes!

Very good, And very promising. A few noticeable bugs exist, for example: sometimes you need to switch between items for the game to recognize what you are holding. and some features I would love to see implemented, like a clearer guide, the ability to remove Oddfauna from your community, and overall just more content to explore. But these issues are minor and likely to be fixed very soon, and the games world, characters, and feeling are just delightful. I spent an entire sick weekend playing it, and it was overall great. I feel compelled to leave this review because I was shocked by how few reviews it has received, I assumed it would be much more popular than it is. I do recommend it.
